ACLS Renewal (Update)
This course is for an experienced provider looking to renew their ACLS cards.
AHA allows for a 1 month grace period on card expiration.
A book must be purchased and pretest must be taken before the class (passing <84%).

This course is for new providers wishing to become certified in ACLS for the first time (or after a long expiration).
A book must be purchased and the student pretest must be taken before the class with a passing rate of 84%.
Prerequisite: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider.

Half online and half in person. You take the online portion on your own, then arrange for a skills testing.

No, ACLS is the next step up in training. In this class the American Heart adds more layers of education to the foundation of BLS. While performing BLS skills, ACLS skills are added to the code blue. Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills include cardiac rhythm interpretation, advanced airway placement, drug administration, cardiac pacing, defibrillation and post resuscitation management.
Yes, it is a professional certification with a card issued by the American Heart Association.
Yes, it should not be taken lightly. We have had to reschedule students because of failure to study. In an ACLS class, you will be required to begin BLS protocol, recognize life threatening cardiac rhythms and provide appropriate treatment (electrotherapy vs drug administration), manage patients airways and provide post resuscitation care. Failure to do so, will result in a repeat of the class.

No, ACLS is it’s own class. It covers Advanced Cardiac Life Support and students are expected and required to already know Basic Life Support (BLS).
No, first aid address mostly traumatic and some medical emergencies. ACLS specifically focused on advanced treatments of cardiac arrest (code blue).
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend your registered class, a 24-hour written notice (emailed to albcprman@gmail.com) is required for BLS, HSFA, HS AED and First Aid Classes. For ACLS and PALS, a 7-day written notice is required (emailed to albcprman@gmail.com) and a $25 fee may apply.
